Letterhead Press installs 337 kilowatt solar array

Letterhead Press in New Berlin, Wisconsin installs 337 kilowatt solar array, one of the largest private installations in the state.

Being a large consumer of electricity, the company has embarked on an energy efficiency program over the last 5 years. This solar field is phase three on what is expected to be an ongoing effort to control the cost of electricity,  keeping the company competitive into the future as electric from the grid continues to be unpredictable in price and source.

This new source of energy will produce 75% of the company’s present needs during hours of daylight,  and provide 25% of their overall needs annually.  Sun Peak,  a Madison Wisconsin  based solar company assisted Letterhead in developing and constructing the system.
